The political structure of the Latin American countries was made up of organized governments. The governments were created by creoles. They commanded colonies with wealth, political power, and social status. Some of these organized governments were representative governments. The creoles and peninsulares created harsh laws and taxed the people of the colonies. They held a lot of power and used the lowest class as slaves for plantations and work.
The upper class was made up of peninsulares and creoles. They overworked the lower class. The lower class consisted of mulattos and mestizos. The mulattos were peasants of the African and Spanish descant. Mestizos were descendants of the Native Americans and the Spanish. Revolutionary leaders like Simon Bolivar liberated many countries where these slaves were so that they could have freedom.
